Trane Technologies has announced the appointment of Mauro Atala to the position Chief Technology and Sustainability OfficerEffective January 5, 2025. Atala will report to Chairman and CEO Dave Regneri as part of the executive leadership team and will lead Trane Technologies’ product development, innovation and sustainability strategies globally.

As Chief Technology and Sustainability Officer, Atallah will be responsible for leveraging technologies that drive innovation and business growth and delivering sustainable solutions to the global market. He will focus on integrating technologies into product roadmaps to align with the company’s 2030 sustainability commitments.
Atallah is a professional with over 26 years of industry experience, spending time in both the aviation and construction industries. In his most recent role as senior vice president of engineering and technology at Collins Aerospace Systems, Atallah led a team of 21,000 engineers globally. In this position, he was responsible for technology development, product safety, cybersecurity and sustainability. He also played a critical role in the successful integration of engineering organizations during the Rockwell Collins acquisition in 2018 and the merger between United Technologies and Raytheon in 2020.
Atallah holds a PhD in Engineering Mechanics from Virginia Tech and an MBA from Duke University. He is a recognized expert in his field, having been elected a Fellow by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers in 2023, and recognized by SAE International with the 2024 Aerospace Executive Award in Honor of the Wright Brothers.
Atala will succeed Paul Camoti, who will retire at the end of the year. Camoti joined Trane Teccyberhnologies in 2011 as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology and Sustainability Officer, where he led the company’s engineering, innovation and sustainability.
“Paul has had a long and distinguished career in technology and innovation. He has played a pivotal role in shaping Trane Technologies’ sustainability strategy and technology roadmaps and helping develop innovation to drive performance. We are grateful for his many contributions and wish him the best in his retirement,” Regneri said.
